Mazda cx 7

Mazda cx 7
 Mazda cx 7
The Mazda CX-7 is a compact crossover vehicle and one of few that focuses on sporty on-the-road performance, with no hint of ruggedness or off-road ability. Think of the CX-7 as a tall wagon that offers the handling of a sport wagon but the versatility and cargo/passenger-friendliness of a utility vehicle and you won’t be far off the mark. The CX-7’s design has changed little from its introduction in 2006 (2007 model year) to the present day. Inside and out, the Mazda CX-7 appears aggressive and sporty, with aspects like its steeply raked windshield, large wheels, and bulging fenders and wheelwells looking the part on the outside, while a cockpit-like instrument panel and hooded gauges inside can, at times, lead you to think that you’re driving a sport coupe. The CX-7 targets shoppers who might need a roomier vehicle, because of a growing family, for instance, but want a vehicle that’s responsive and corners well. And in repeated drives of the CX-7, TheCarConnection.com has found the CX-7 to steer and handle exceptionally well compared to rival crossovers. Available from the start was a 244-horsepower, 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engineessentially the same unit that’s been offered in Mazda’s performance-tuned Mazdaspeed3 and Mazdaspeed6 models with either front-wheel drive or an all-wheel-drive system that can send up to 50 percent of torque to the front wheels.

Positioned in the market as a more premium, sporty alternative to basic crossover compacts like the Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester, or Toyota RAV4, the CX-7 has always cost a bit more and sales weren’t as high as Mazda would have hoped. Additionally, fuel economy with the 2.3-liter turbo wasn’t particularly impressive in real-world driving. So for 2010 the automaker rolled out new lower-priced versions of the CX-7 powered by a 161-horsepower, 2.5-liter four. The lineup was also separated into ‘i’ and ‘s’ trims, which get the standard engine or the turbo, respectively, but standard-feature content remained quite generous. Although the difference between the engines is remarkable in terms of specs and straight-line acceleration, the 2.5-liter has enough torque to move the CX-7 rapidly in normal driving and it’s considerably more refined than the stronger 2.3.The CX-7 has excellent front seats and a good driving position, but it doesn’t quite live up to its high-utility promises behind the driver’s seat, as its rakish design brings some obvious sacrifices. The backseat can accommodate three in theory, but it’s too tight for three adults and the seating position is very low. The backseats fold to yield 70 inches of flat cargo floor, but it’s not very tall barely enough to move a short love seat.  And a lout boomy ride has been an issue in former CX-7 models, though 2010 models did get improved insulation and other changes aimed at a more refined feel. The 2010 model year was when the Mazda CX-7 saw its most recent refresh, with the revised model lineup consisting of ‘i’ and ‘s’ models, plus new base SV and affordable Sport models. All models in the lineup by the SV come with standard Bluetooth hands-free calling, and Bluetooth streaming audio is offered. At the top of the line, the Grand Touring comes such premium features as automatic climate control, a moonroof, heated mirrors, HID headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.

The Mazda RX-8 is a four-seat sports car, and the latest in a long line of rotary-engine sports cars from the Japanese automaker. In addition to its unusual engine design, the RX-8 follows a unique quad-coupe body style, with two small rear-hinged half doors allowing better access to the rear seating positions than a standard two-door coupe would allow.

The RX-8 was introduced for the 2004 model year, after its predecessor, the RX-7 had been absent from the U.S. market for most of a decade. While the RX-7 in its later years had become a heavier more bloated, some might say grand tourer, laden with tech features, the RX-8 took the light, nimble feel of the Miata and was, from the start, more affordable. The RX-8 design was absolutely like no other, and blended form and function in better fashion than most other sports cars of its time; the two rear-hinged suicide-style doors allow improved access to the two back seats, though they're still quite tight, and the trunk is just large enough for weekend trips

In front which is where you want to be you sit low to the road, though slightly more upright than other sports coupes, with a small-diameter steering wheel and close cockpit-style gauges. The 232-horsepower, 1.3-liter twin-rotary engine doesn't make much torque, and to access the bulk of it you have to keep the engine revving. Thank goodness, it's extremely rev-happy and satisfying to exercise to its upper ranges. Peak power is made at 9,000 rpm, and the engine gets a motorcycle-like wail it's up there. The six-speed manual gearbox is the only way to go, as automatic models get a reduced redline and lower power ratings. Steering has a quick ratio and managed a good feel of the road.

In 2009, the RX-8 received some structural improvements, as well as a reconfigured suspension geometry, which resulted in even more confident handling while reducing interior noise and vibration. With these newer models especially, the RX-8 is actually a lot more civil than you'd expect. It rides reasonably well and provided you have the engine in one of its relaxed upper gears both engine and road noise are quite muted. It's also not twitchy in the way that you might think a light, low, rather short sports car to be. Most notably, Mazda bolstered the rotary engine with some significant seal and gasket improvements that should extend engine life and reduce oil consumption always a rotary weakness.

Also for 2009, Mazda rolled out a top-of-the-line R3 package, which includes a sport-tuned suspension, Bilstein shocks, and high-performance tires on 19-inch smoky forged-alloy wheels, plus foam-filled front-suspension crossmembers. Wheels were also upsized. Most RX-8 models include electronic stability control, but even for some recent model years, it was not included on the base Sport. Grand Touring models fit those who want all the interior comforts, such as automatic climate control, upgraded audio, Bluetooth, and keyless start, plus HID headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.

One of the most significant drawbacks of the RX-8 is its thirst for premium. Its EPA city rating is just 16 mpg, but if you drive the RX-8 in a spirited way you're likely to see significantly lower. The RX-8 is expected to be discontinued after the 2012 model year, with no direct replacement in sight.

 Mazda 2
With the introduction of the new Mazda2, Mazda filled a gap in its small-car lineup--but it didn't lose touch of any of its 'zoom-zoom' ethos here. If you opt for the manual gearbox, the 2012 Mazda2 ranks as one of the most fun-to-drive small cars. The Mazda2 remains related to the Ford Fiesta, but it has completely different powertrains, interiors, and design attributes. This little hatchback is tastefully styled inside and out, and that goes a long way toward feeling the part of a hotter hatch even if it isn't. The Mazda2's pert, upright stance, low front end; and its simple hatch design with plenty of window space is a refreshing departure from the cavelike claustrophobia you'll find in some other small cars. Otherwise, what you get inside is closer to what you'd expect; it's a bit dark--and unabashedly anti-luxury--but the instrument panel is delightfully simple and clean

The Mazda Premacy (called Mazda5 in some markets) is a compact MPV built by the Japanese manufacturer Mazda since 1999. The first generation Premacy was built in Japan and exported to Europe and Asia. A rebadged version was sold by Ford in a few Asian markets (including Japan) as the Ford Ixion or Ford MAV. The second generation is sold worldwide as the Mazda5. As of March 31, 2005, 285,258 Premacy and Mazda5 models had been sold worldwide since introduction.

The first generation Premacy was a 2-row, 4 or 5-passenger vehicle, while the second generation adds a third row of seats for up to 6 passengers in American form, and 7 passengers outside the US. Both generations were true vans with near-flat floors, folding/removable 2nd row, and fold-flat rear seats.

Mazda 3 has occupied the top most position for the sedan and wagon category for 3 years in a row.  For the money you get this package called Mazda 3 as quite a surprise.

No other car is capable of providing the kind of consumer satisfaction through performance and driving experience like the Mazda 3. At the end of the day if one eels they have got the right value for their money, there is nothing like it. Mazda usually makes cars that can be fast, and zippy and also fun to drive. Mazda 3 was launched in 2004 and it comes in two styles, the hatch back and the sedan and comes in two trims, the I trim and the s trim. All I trim looks same and have the same specifications and so do the s trims.

Car enthusiasts in their review mention that the Mazda 3 has a great driving feel and also performance which is an added value. It accelerates real quickly with a2.3 L Configuration to power it but yes there is also Configuration noise but over all it does level out when the performance is noticed. Previously the five speed automatic transmission was not available but now even that is available in all the latest cars.
