The
Alfa Mito, three door small car was launched in the mid 2008. Although officially launched by the company in Milan, the Alfa Mito was initially showcased in the British motor Show earlier in the year. Alfa Mito which is primarily a front wheel drive has been launched by the company keeping in mind the segment competition with the MINI and the yet to be launched Audi A1.
The Alfa Mito shares its platform with the Fiat Grande Punto and Opel Corsa D. a lot of hype was created by the company around the name of the car. There was a competition organized in which customers were asked to suggest the names. The winner of the competition was supposed to win some goodies from Alfa Romeo. Although a winning name was chosen, but the company rechristened car to
Alfa Mito based on two cities, Milan and Torino, which played an important part in the manufacturing of the car. The car has been designed with things like compactness, driving fun and coolness in mind and the end product is sure a perfect blend of all these. The Alfa Mito has been designed with smaller specifications, which means lighter in weight, smaller in size and provides economy.

Alfa Mito sports both the Petrol and Diesel engine versions. Infact the customers have an option of choosing from two each turbo charged versions of Petrol and Diesel engines. The 1.4 liter turbo charged engines of the
Alfa Mito combined with 6 speed transmission gearbox produce exceptional mileage and uses quite a few electronic features when in comes to various functions in the car. The interiors of car are quite futuristic and functional, combining comfort with use quite effectively.

The dashboard is sports a carbon-fiber look and the seats are quite comfortable and relaxing to sit for longer durations. Apart from the finish, the cabin of the Alfa Mito is quite spacious and despite being only a three door, the car can easily seat two adults in the rear seat. Exceptional detailing has been done while designing the safety features. The car boasts of inclusion of seven airbags for that enhanced protection especially during collisions.
